Work. Found. Fast.
Pathway to Stability Program™
Voluntary support that connects work, housing and recovery — without turning ReadyShift into a care platform.
The Pathway to Stability Program™ is an optional layer on top of ReadyShift. It links workers facing homelessness, instability or recovery with trusted housing, mental health and employability partners — while employers stay the employer, and clinical data stays safely outside the platform.
We work with accredited partners — housing, recovery, mental health and employability services — to build safe, voluntary pathways into work and stability for people facing homelessness or crisis.
Voluntary and worker-led
Workers choose if and when they connect to support. No hidden referrals, no forced engagement and no penalties on-platform if someone says no.
No clinical data on ReadyShift
Partners keep full clinical and case records in their own systems. ReadyShift only stores high-level milestones workers consent to, such as “in stable housing” or “training completed”.
Trusted local partners
We prioritise organisations with lived-experience leadership, trauma-informed practice and strong safeguarding — not just whoever can fill a form in fastest.
Impact you can report on
Employers and commissioners see anonymised, aggregated metrics across sites, not personal case files — so you can evidence impact without compromising worker privacy.
How it works for workers.
- Pathway is always optional. There is no penalty for saying no.
- Workers can see a clear menu of local housing, recovery, training and money partners — in plain language.
- They choose which partners (if any) to connect with and what contact details can be shared.
- Support is delivered entirely by external organisations — ReadyShift does not provide clinical or case management services.
- Workers can pause or step back at any time. Their work opportunities on ReadyShift aren't blocked based on support decisions.
How it works for employers & commissioners.
- Employers keep their existing legal responsibilities and HR processes — ReadyShift doesn't become a care provider or clinical record.
- Sites can flag that a worker is "Pathway-eligible" without storing clinical details. Eligibility criteria are set with partners.
- Anonymous, aggregated snapshots show counts and progression — for example, “workers moving from hostels into stable housing” or “completing training”.
- Reports are designed for tenders, ESG reports and local homelessness strategies, not just internal dashboards.
- Councils and networks can see impact by location, partner group and time period, without identifying individual workers.

Safeguards by design
- No clinical notes, diagnoses or treatment details are stored in ReadyShift.
- Partners sign clear data-sharing and safeguarding agreements before joining the network.
- Workers see exactly what data is shared and can withdraw consent at any time.
- High-level milestones are designed with commissioners and lived-experience advisors to avoid stigma.
Who the Pathway to Stability Program™ is for.
Councils & combined authorities
- Need to show fewer people cycling between hostels, crisis and A&E.
- Want joined-up reporting across workforce, housing and support services.
- Need simple, anonymised metrics that work in funding bids and scrutiny panels.
NHS trusts & healthcare networks
- See the impact of flexible work on stability and recovery.
- Want better options than agency-only staffing for vulnerable workers.
- Need clear boundaries between clinical care and employment support.
Large employers & social landlords
- Want to recruit fairly from people with housing or recovery backgrounds.
- Need partners who can offer wraparound support without overloading HR.
- Care about ESG and social value, but need numbers that stand up to scrutiny.
Pathway FAQs.
Does Pathway replace existing support services?
No. Pathway connects workers to existing accredited services. It doesn’t replace clinical teams, outreach services or housing officers — it helps them work in step with flexible work opportunities.
Can a worker be on ReadyShift without using Pathway?
Yes. Most workers will use ReadyShift with no Pathway involvement at all. Pathway is for people who want extra stability support — saying no doesn’t block work.
Who decides if someone is Pathway-eligible?
Eligibility is set locally with partners and commissioners — for example, people in temporary accommodation or post-treatment. The platform only ever stores high-level flags, not sensitive assessment details.
Is this available in every area?
Pathway launches in specific locations where we have the right mix of partners and governance in place. If you’d like to explore bringing it to your area, the best first step is a conversation with our team.
Ready to explore Pathway in your area?
Start with one site, one partner network and a clear set of milestones — then grow from there.
Most areas begin with a small pilot linking one employer, one housing or recovery partner and a manageable group of workers. Once the model is proven, it can be extended across services and locations.
